Still alive, made it to the New Year. Take that Doctors who told me I’d be in the ground last June! Just got a new scan done this week, a bit apprehensive
about the results. I stalk Oppo daily on my phone but don’t have access to my burner on there, so I’m here just not posting. I’ve been meaning to dig out my old laptop more to post here more frequently, but it’s such a pain to get it going. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying this new year - in the mean time I’ll keep stalking all your posts. Also, GTI > Fit.

Yes, but the current debate is Juke > Fit??
Glad you’re still here. You’re one of the few Z’s that post. ;)
This may not make sense to you, but with all of the crap going on in my life, it’s a real pick-me-up to see you still still alive, kicking, and posting. It kind of puts things in perspective.

Greetings, fellow fighter. I’ve just been diagnosed and am preparing to fight the good fight. More tests on Monday and then a plan of action will be created. They think it was caught early enough, but we’ll have to wait for the CT to verify.
I’ve been thinking about you lately and glad to see you’re still hanging out with us, even if just lurking. Please keep in touch.

Keep fighting and proving them wrong!
And yes, of course GTI > Fit

Glad to see you around, though I feel like you are on the Oppotalk Facebook page, so I’ve seen you around!
And even through recent events GTI>FiST>Fit, but dealers are the absolute worst.

Good on you man, keep fighting the good fight! Also, speaking of Fits, you know what’s the best name for a Honda ever?
Life Dunk. Also, they look pretty cool for a Kei Car :P

Glad to hear from you and keep up the good fight!

Glad you’re hanging in there and beating the odds.
One thing I’ve learned is when doctors say you have X months to live, those are educated guesses.
While those educated guesses are to be taken seriously, they are unlikely to be exact.

Oh, that makes it more tough. My gut jumps to the Fit, but I love the quirkiness of the Juke... why not both? :P
Thanks! It makes total sense to me too, a little perspective never hurts. (Nor does it diminish what one person is going throu
gh just because someone has it worse, its just a good thing to hold onto some perspective).

Oh, I agree, for the most part. Nothing wrong with the Solstice, but I do prefer the Sky.
However... Solstice Coupe > Sky > Solstice. Those Coupes have a presence in person that is just
perfect.

Oh man, I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses, but the good thing is they caught it now rather than later. Be ready for lots of CT scans, they become a very frequent thing. Don’t be afraid to get a second or third opinion. Chemo sucks whether its low level or high intesity, but it’s not the end - just a stepping stone. Radiation isn’t terrible if it’s external, just feels like a bad sunburn.
Most of all, don’t let go of the thought that you can beat this. I had Lymphoma nine years ago at Stage IV and it hasn’t returned. May others have beat cancer and lived a long life. You can do it, just take it one day at a time.
I’ve found the best thing is to stay as positive as possible. There will be tough days, don’t let them drag you down.
If you ever need someone to talk to, or just to listen, please feel free to reach out! You can e-mail me at zacharyrenstrom@yahoo.com or find me on Facebook -
I’m on the Oppositelock FB if that helps.
I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and will follow you for hopefully good news and progress. Keep up the good fight!

Yes indeed, I do post on the OppoTalk FB page on occasion! I tend to lurk a lot there as well.
And I can absolutely
agree, dealers are the worst by far. Even the good ones seem to have their moments of being less than ideal.

Those are some good looking Miatas and a good pair to have (RF and ST)! Nice picture too with the city skyline in the background and the bit of dirt on the Miatas showing they actually get used.

Nice to see your reply Capt.
I hope your TVR progress is going well! I might have to come check it out someday if you are still in LA~

I love the Sky and dearly miss mine - it was a wonderful car!
Best of luck to you with your next scan and heading down the chemo path again! I’ll keep you in my thoughts and hope for many more years to come. Seems like it’s a fight that never ends sometimes, but each day is worth it.
If you ever need anyone to talk to, please feel free to reach out!

Thanks Rally!
Oh man, I love Kei cars and the whole attitude behind them. Life Dunk is *such* a good name. That looks a little similar to the Honda Logo as well, but a bit more compact. I wish we got those over here, we need more small cars.

It is going. I need to sell the GTO still though and time is running out to get them my payment. Yeah if you are in the area you totally should! It wont be in the states till August though.

Beating the odds by far given my specific aggressive cancer, and I am very thankful to be doing as well as I am.
And yes, the educated guesses are just that. Since finding this cancer in Sept of ‘16, I think I’ve been given 6 months more times than I can count on one hand. Usually things are taking a turn for the worst when they say that as well, and yet I continue to pull through and keep fighting. I guess I’m just too stubborn to die.

I love them too! Every time I see a kei truck around here I smile uncontrollably! I haven’t seen any imported kei cars here in Nova Scotia though, but there are a few kei trucks around. The last one I saw was a Suzuki Carry that I’ve seen a few times now...old picture, but this one lives around here so I usually see it once a week!
I would love to import a kei car at some point...would make an interesting little daily! BUT, priorities as finally getting life sorted to import my FIAT 126p comes first. :P
